The Executive Editor of Auburn’s newspaper for nearly two decades is saying farewell.

Jeremy Boyer started at The Citizen as a news editor in 2004 before quickly being promoted.

In a column he wrote for the paper, Boyer says he’s grateful for the support of his readers and coworkers.

Aside from his print work, he was also a common face on television during candidate forums at Cayuga Community College.

The City of Auburn proclaimed Friday (July 14) “Jeremy Boyer Local News Coverage Day” in recognition of his journalistic work in Cayuga County.

Boyer leaves to take a job with The Post-Standard.
