Rubber ducks, many dressed in costumes, float down a narrow stone channel, a common sight at duck derby events.

Monday is Memorial Day and, for the City of Auburn, that marks the return of the Duck Derby to the Owasco River.

Funds from this year’s event will go to support 10 Cayuga County food pantries and Auburn Rotary Club’s Warm the Children.

The Hibernians and TomatoFest are teaming up to run the event, taking over from the Kiwanis Club.
