There’s under one week left to register for United Way of Cayuga County’s 3rd Annual Day of Caring next month.

Nonprofits can submit projects they need volunteers to help with, and volunteers can register to get placed on a project. Julissa Stone with United Way says they’re hoping to serve the entire county this year.

“We’re still looking for projects throughout Cayuga County,” Stone told Finger Lakes News Radio. “Right now, especially in county south – Aurora, Union Springs, Moravia area – and, of course, county north; were looking for a couple of additional projects.”

The deadline to apply is Friday.

If you have a project in need of assistance or would like to volunteer, you can do so on United Way’s website.
