The Cayuga County Lock-ins, a team made up of Sheriff Brian Schenck and members of his office, will brave the cold waters of Oneida Lake next month to raise money for Special Olympics New York.

The team has already begun collecting donations to support the cause. Donations can be made here.  Aside from bragging rights, the top fundraising first responder team will win the Plunge Cup trophy.

The Polar Plunge will take place at 12:00p on Sunday, December 7, at Oneida Shores Park, 9400 Bartell Rd, Brewerton.
