A dozen fire departments from Cayuga, Onondaga, and Oswego counties battled a structure fire at a three-story home in the village of Cato Monday morning.

Cato Fire Chief Ron Wallace told WSYR-TV no one was home when the fire broke out at around 4:30 as the residence at 2447 West Main Street was being remodeled. It took firefighters about two hours to extinguish the blaze.

There’s been no determination on a cause.
