BOE: Vote for Cayuga County Clerk Will Happen in November

A special election for Cayuga County clerk will be held on November 4th, regardless of a gubernatorial appointment.

The county Board of Elections confirmed the vote to fill the seat left vacant by Brian Scanlan, who resigned on March 11 after 15 months in office. The winner will serve the remainder of Scanlan’s term, ending in 2027.

Kristine Lytle has been endorsed by the county’s Republican and Conservative committees as a candidate.
