Aurelius FD Announces New Annual Fundraiser

It will rain golf balls this Fall in Cayuga County The Aurelius Volunteer Fire Department has unveiled a new fundraiser and tickets are now available.

Department President Tyler Bench told Finger Lakes News Radio how their first annual golf ball drop will work. “We’re going to drop all the balls from our ladder truck 90-95ft in the air,” he said. “The closest to the flag wins the first prize which is $1,000. The farthest from the flag wins $500.”

The ball drop won’t take place until September 30th, however, tickets are available now.

Tickets are only available in person and can be purchased for $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00 from any member of the department or at the east station Monday nights at 7:00p.
