Improvements are coming to one Auburn playground.

Requests for Proposals were issued for work at the Wall Street Playground.

Speaking on FLX Morning, City Clerk Chuck Mason said they’re looking for designs and a design firm for the work.

“We will probably have some public meetings associated with the design. So, we’re looking for a design firm and those RFPs will be taken in by the city and reviewed by city staff, and [the city will] probably award a contract sometime this fall.”

Mason adds construction isn’t expected to begin until 2024 or 2025.

Funding comes from the Community Development Block Grant program.
