Auburn’s Standart Ave intersection widening project will begin Monday.

The project, being handled by Casinella Excavating, will widen the intersection of Standart Ave where it meets North Street, ending at the intersection of Standart Ave and Vista Street. Existing curbing, sidewalks, storm sewers, and asphalt will be removed and replaced.

During construction, Standart Ave will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic except for residents between North and Vista Streets. In a letter to area residents, the city said Casinella will Excavating will assist with access for emergency services, mail, and trash removal during active construction.

Crews will work Monday through Friday from 7:00a-4:00p. The project is expected to run through the third week of October.

Updates will be posted on the city’s website. A detour map from the city can be viewed below.
