City of Auburn Mayor Jimmy Giannettino joined Senator Rachel May, Amy Fuller from the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce, and the founders of the Auburn Public Theater to cut the ribbon on the new Owasco Room at the basement level of the theater.

The space has been renovated into an event space in the middle of downtown Auburn. Funding was provided via the City of Auburn’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative Grant, City of Auburn American Rescue Plan Act funding, NYS CREST grant from Senator Rachel May, and numerous individual donations.

This year, Auburn Public Theater will celebrate 20 years in downtown.
