Auburn is poised to award the construction bid for Phase II of the Wall Street Park renovation.

City Council will vote Thursday on a resolution to award the bid to Auburn-based Paul F. Vitale Inc. for $116,348.53.

Phase I of the project was completed by Titan Development Inc. from Gasport, New York. That phase consisted of demolition and clearing of the old playground, grading and drainage, and the installation of an asphalt walkway, a picket fence by the riverbank, a swing set, and benches.

Phase II will consist of a new pavilion, spiderweb climber, and resurfacing of the basketball court.

The city unveiled the new playground design in November 2023, following a community meeting held the month before, allowing area residents to provide their input on what should be done to the park.
