A newly renovated intersection in Auburn, New York, featuring fresh pavement, crosswalks, and traffic lights, reopens to traffic.

After being closed for six weeks for renovation work, one major intersection in the city of Auburn is back open. City Clerk Chuck Mason said the work done at Standart Avenue and North Street marks a major improvement for the city.

“The intersection has been widened to allow for a proper turn radius for larger vehicles,” said Mason on FLX Morning News with Paul Szmal. “There have been some pedestrian enhancements made to the intersection. New curbs, new sidewalks. Things look really good over there.”

Mason said the city used some of its New York State Touring Route funds to pay for the work.
