Auburn community members will have a chance next Monday to attend a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion workshop.

Hosted by the Auburn Downtown Business Improvement District, BID Director Stephanie DeVito told Finger Lakes News Radio the event is about creating a more inclusive community.

“As you’re seeing, we have a lot of tourists that visit; we have our own community that is involved in so many different things,” DeVito said. “We want to make sure our community and the BID are definitely well-versed in diversity, equity, and inclusion and that it’s inclusive for everyone,”

The free DEI workshop takes place Monday, December 11, from 10:00a-12:00p at Auburn Public Theater. More information on the event can be found on the BID’s Facebook page.

Attendees are encouraged to preregister. To reserve a spot, you can email DeVito at [email protected].
