A new fundraiser from United Way of Cayuga County will see its members take a pie to the face for charity.

Open from January 7-21, the Pie-It-Forward fundraiser will allow the public to donate money to the nonprofit in exchange for chances to throw a pie in the face of a United Way celebrity. For every $2,000 raised, a new celebrity will be chosen to have a pie thrown at them.

Winners will be chosen via Facebook Live on January 23, National Pie Day.

Donation information and a list of those who’ve agreed to take a pie to the face can be found on United Way’s website.
