Approval has been granted to the state by the Auburn City Council to acquire three city rights-of-way for construction work on the Arterial.

Following Thursday night’s Council vote, City Clerk Chuck Mason said this is encouraging news for everyone.

“Things are moving forward, and things are on time,” said Mason. “We are seeing the reconstruction of the arterial start in June of 2026, and it will last the entire construction season of 2026 and 2027.”

The state will pay approximately $6,200 to acquire the rights-of-way.
