Cayuga County residents will soon have a chance to help save lives this holiday season.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and the American Red Cross will hold a blood drive on Monday from 9:00a-2:00p at the Public Safety Building at 7445 County House Road, Auburn.

People are asked to call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter “CayugaSheriff” to schedule an appointment.

Those with Type O, B-, and A- blood types are asked to make a Power Red donation, as red blood cells are the most commonly used component in blood transfusions.
