The Friends of Parrott Hall will be offering tours of Parrott Hall, located on the Cornell AgriTech campus at 645 W. North Street in Geneva on Saturday, June 14th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. There will be another Open House on Saturday, August 23 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Parrott Hall was once the Denton Farm House built on the native American site of Kanadesaga. In1882 it became the original headquarters for the NYS Agricultural Experiment Station and remained in service to our agricultural and food industries until circa 1970. It is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
There will be guided tours available of this architectural treasure including the interior first floor for anyone over the age of 18. Exhibits and photographs of the ongoing stabilization and restoration work will be on display. Light refreshments will be served, and parking will be available behind the building.
