The Friends of Parrott Hall will be offering tours to the public of Parrott Hall, located at 645 West North Street in Geneva, on Saturday, August 23rd, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Parrott Hall, located on the Cornell AgriTech Campus, was once the Denton Farm House built on the native American site of Kanadesaga. In 1882, it became the original headquarters for the NYS Agricultural Experiment Station and remained in service to our agricultural and food service industries until circa 1970. It is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
There will be guided tours available of this architectural treasure, including the interior first floor, for anyone over the age of 18. Exhibits and photographs of the 5-year stabilization and restoration work, still in
progress, will be on display. Light refreshments will be served and parking will be available behind the building.
