The Canandaigua Knights Youth Hockey organization has added an exciting feature to its annual “Icebreaker” event this year – a 5K road race. The event takes place on Saturday, September 20th, with the race starting at 9:00 AM from the Canandaigua Civic Center. The race course includes Outhouse Rd and Baker Park, ultimately ending back at the Civic Center. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Sign up can be found at CKHockey.org
After the race, community members are invited to participate in the rest of the Icebreaker festivities, including live music, food trucks, bounce houses, and open ice skating in the rink. Proceeds from the Icebreaker event help fund items such as equipment and special events. Post-race festivities run from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The Canandaigua Knights, based out of the Greater Canandaigua Civic Center, is a non-profit youth sports organization that provides hockey teams, training, and tournaments for all levels of youth players.
