Finger Lakes Community College will host an interview with Holocaust survivor Carl Wetzstein of Rochester on Tuesday, April 9, from 2 to 3 p.m., in the main campus auditorium. Entry is free and open to the public.

This event is part of the History, Culture and Diversity Series organized by Robert Brown, professor of history. Brown will interview Wetzstein, who was hidden as a child in Holland. He is alive today because of the Christian family who took him in. His parents also survived, and they were reunited after the war. Wetzstein’s message is about the people who were Righteous Among the Nations, those who risked their own lives to save others.

The event will also be broadcast on the Finger Lakes TV network.

Finger Lakes TV is available four ways:

  • Roku
  • Spectrum cable channel 1304 in the western Finger Lakes, including all of Ontario and Wayne counties and parts of Seneca, Yates and Cayuga counties.
  • A 24/7 web stream at fingerlakestv.org/live
  • The Cablecast app for Apple and Android

The programming will also be shown on the FLCC YouTube channel at youtube.com/flcc.
