Please join us at the Seneca Meadows Education Center (1977 NYS Route 414 Waterloo, NY 13165) for a presentation about Sandhill and Whooping Cranes on Saturday November 15, 2025 @ 9:00 AM.  This will be followed by a Birding Walk at the Seneca Meadows Wetland Preserve (1712 Black Brook Road Seneca Falls, NY 13148) and driving to locations in the Montezuma Wetlands Complex.  The fall migration will be continuing.  We will take a brief (about an hour) walk for about 1 mile, continue to various locations in the Montezuma Wetlands Complex.  We should see many waterfowl, late migrating songbirds, raptors, Sandhill Cranes, and wading birds.  Please bring binoculars but if you don’t have any, please contact me via the contact information below and I will bring binoculars to loan for the day.  Please dress for the weather and be prepared as this time of year has very changeable conditions.  Boots and water bottles are highly recommended, especially if it has rained recently.  If you are not an “eBirder” yet, training is available if you want to learn how to use the free app.  This is a free event, but registration is still required, on the right hand side of this message by November 12, 2025.  All individuals, groups, families with children, and folks from under-served communities are welcome.  For more information and/or if you have any questions, please email to [email protected] or call (315) 539-5089 and leave a detailed message.
